Her art-making apparatus consists of painting, drawing, and sculpture. Transfixed by the non-linear aspects of memory, the malleability of poetry, and the whimsey of fiction. She often sees each artwork as its own character and having its own slew of hypotheticals and prose.

She received a Masters in Fine Arts from The University of British Columbia on the unceded territory of xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations and attended The California College of the Arts in San Francisco, California where she received a BFA in Painting and Drawing with high distinction. She has shown work in Russia, Canada, and the United States.

Smoke covered the sun yesterday and I wondered who all I was breathing in, 

my head feels heavy.

Incapable of leaving this seance. 

I draw with crystals, make dashes from dust, stitch with neon nylon, layer layers of acrylic, and cut and poke holes so the work can breathe.

Computer Whisperer: tunnel vision through a socket of Ido Radon’s artwork

I met Ido three years ago, on the computer. As I am her friend, I can only navigate Ido’s art practice as such. In response to her work in the exhibition Devin Ronneberg & Ido Radon: Inhuman // Alien at Canton-Sardine, I am going to retrace some of the threads in my memory, along with collecting data from real life, virtual interactions, conversations, and books we have shared.

With these tools, I will create an extravagant quilt with alternating functions. This quilt is not your average quilt — not merely just patch-and-stitch —  it is pocketed, loopholed, vortex-ed and portal-ed.
